Accepted Cards / Wallets / Methods
iStore Pay only accepts Visa and Mastercard payments:
- Debit or Credit
- Local or International
- Physical cards or digital wallets (e.g. Apple Pay, Google Pay)
💡 Important: The card or digital wallet must support contactless payment.
Cards and Methods Not Accepted
The following payment methods are currently not supported:
- American Express (AMEX)
- Diners Club
- Petrol / Fleet Car
- UnionPay
- RCS
- Any card that does not support contactless payment such as:
- Chip insert (EMV)
- Magstripe swipe
- Manual card entry
- QR Code Payments
Currency
- iStore Pay transactions can only be charged in South African Rands.
- Merchants can accept international cards, but the transaction will be specified in Rands.
- For international card transactions there are no extra fees to the merchant beyond the international card transactions fees.
